Ishmael, Chapter 7, by Josh and Madelyn

1.  Very strict community standards/ law that everyone follow for millions of years, allowing the community to continue evolving.  Severe consequences to those who break them. (pg 118)

2. Equality among individuals in a community leads to an peaceful community.  Takers didn't find themselves equal and therefore strive to conquer. Ishmael is telling how the world was and how the takers branched off from the way of the world.

3. The community focuses on community sustainability, rather than individual sustainability. This is shown by the everyone's contentedness of the law.  An orderly and sustainable community doesn't take more then it needs (to survive).

4. Takers who didn't consider themselves equal used trial and error to build a civilization, causing them to destroy the world. The Leavers wondered how to create a civilization as well, but while still following the law.
